6 million people worldwide die from smoking each year.

According to the BBC on July 10, the World Health Organization (WHO) says smoking causes 6 million deaths worldwide each year despite various public health campaigns. About 5 million of them were smokers or former smokers, while more than 600 thousand died of second-hand smoke.

The World Health Organization says smoking remains the world's leading avoidable cause of death, especially in low- and middle-income countries. If current trends remain unchanged, the death toll of tobacco worldwide will rise to 8 million in 2030.

WHO Director-General Margaret Chan said in a written statement: "If we do not cooperate closely and ban tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship, the increasingly active tobacco industry will continue to lure young people and young people to smoke."

"Every country has the responsibility to protect the public from tobacco related diseases, disabilities and deaths."

WHO warns that an estimated 100 million people died of tobacco-related diseases in the 20th century, and that if no measures are taken, one billion people could die this century.

Are you still smoking cigarettes? Are you still challenging your health? Are you still on the edge of death? Cigarettes bring us too many diseases and injuries. We must stay away from them. With the trend of the times, the birth of electronic cigarettes ignites hope.
